Survivor time!

Okay, here's the first post related to the Survivor pool. First, the rules:

Everyone begins with 100 points. Every time a person is eliminated from the show, you lose or gain points based on your picks. You get:

+5 for each prediction that is correct

-1 for each placement off your prediction is. For example, if you predicted that Ace would be voted off in 10th place, and he was actually voted off in 13th place, you would lose 3 points for being 3 places off.

Every week, you can also submit an Immunity Pick (IP). When the contestants on the show are competing as tribes, you will attempt to predict which tribe will win immunity. When they compete individually, you will attempt to predict the contestant who will win immunity. Every week, 24 points will be awarded to the players who correctly predict immunity. However, the points will be divided among all those who make the correct prediction.

If only one player makes the correct prediction, that player will receive all 24 points.
If 2 players are correct, they receive 12 points apiece
3 players = 8 points
4 players = 6 points
5 players = 5 points
6 players = 4 points
7 players = 3 points
8 players = 2 points
9 players = 1 point

When there are 13 contestants left, everyone will receive an additional 200 points, and submit a second set of picks, which will be weighted twice as much as the original set.

When there are 8 contestants left, everyone will receive an additional 300 points, and submit a third set of picks, which will be weighted three times as much as the original set (so, if you were 3 places off, you would lose 9 points).

Spot-on predictions are always worth five points, no matter which set of picks they come from. The number of Immunity Pick (IP) points likewise remains constant.

Pool Predictions

A couple of notes of interest:

The survivor who inspired the most confidence, sight unseen, was Dan, who three of nine people predicted to win the season. The person who had the least confidence that Dan would do well was Jennifer, who predicts that he'll be out in 10th place. His "I got street smarts and book smarts" line seems to have convinced a lot of you. We'll see.







The Survivor who inspired the least confidence was Randy. Three pool members have him out first, and seven people have him in their bottom four. The biggest dissembler in this case was Mike, who obviously has a soft spot for the old man, predicting that he will last until 9th place.
