Survivor Tocantin: Week 10 "Sierra vs. Coach"

We had another unpredictable, tension-filled episode this week, with the three remaining members of Jalapao kicking the four Timbira members around like yellow dogs.

Debbie came across as really bitchy by asking Sierra if she was loyal to Debbie and Coach, and then freaking out at her when Sierra pointed out that they had voted against her the previous night.

Coach proved himself to be even less of a man than he has seemed to date. He's been flaunting the "I play with honor" flag since the very first episode, and this week he got caught in a lie by Sierra, who outed him for trying to turn against JT, Stephen, and Taj.

JT
and Stephen, who are not really hiding the fact that they're running the game now, kind of believed Sierra, but decided that it would be easier to vote her out than Debbie, since they would have to deal with Coach for three days after the backstab.

The reward challenge was the slam book questioning that we've seen in previous seasons, and this year it proved that Sierra is deeply, deeply unpopular among her tribemates. I get that she's a little whiny and self-centered, but is she worse than Coach or Debbie? Or Erinn? Hard to see.

The immunity challenge involved hooking some bags with some grappling hooks, and then working a ball through a tilting maze. Coach won immunity, after which he congratulated himself heartily for his mental toughness and decided that an individual immunity win does indeed validate one's place in the later stages of the game.

At tribal council, Jalapao decided that they were better off voting off Sierra, and so home she went. I'm not sure if that's the best move, but it's hard for Stephen and JT to make a wrong move these days. The best guess seems to be that Erinn will go next week, and then they will have to choose between Taj and Coach/Debbie.

The Pool:

In the rankings below, each pool player is ordered according to their current score, but the ranking in bold shows where they were last week. So, Paul is currently in first (!), but was second last week.

You're seeing the scores in this format:
Current Score (+/- Sierra Boot in First Set, +/- Sierra Boot in Second Set, +/- Sierra Boot in Third Set, + Immunity Pick Bonus)
So, the first number is your actual score, and everything that comes after shows what affected it this week.

2nd: Paul 549 (-4, -2, -3, +0)
1st: Matt 542 (-1, -8, -12, +0)
3rd: Carl: 536 (-3, -4, -3, +0)
4th: Mom 530 (-3, -8, -3, +0)
5th: Dawn 509 (-3, -4, -12, +0)
6th: Stats 502 (-7, -8, -3, +0)
8th: Kim 498 (-2, -8, -3, +0)
9th: Brian 496 (-2, -4, -9, +0)
7th: Mike 485 (-4, -10, -18, +0)

This Week's Winners:
No one pegged Coach for immunity, so that has to go down as a missed opportunity for us all. Paul had Sierra's ouster so well picked that he skates into first place, while Kim and Brian managed to climb out of the cellar.

This Week's Losers:
I lost my first place status to Paul, while Mike has become the whipping boy of us all.

Please send me your Immunity Pick (IP) by choosing from the 6 remaining players.

Good luck, everyone!
