Survivor Tocantin: Week 9 "The Loudness versus the Weakness"
These episodes are so unpredictable it's ridiculous. I hope that the producers find a way to make future seasons this fun to watch.
In the aftermath of a Brendan-blindsiding tribal council, Sierra found herself at odds with the entire rest of the tribe.
She spent the entire episode arguing, justifying, explaining, begging, crying, and just generally being very unpleasant to be around. Meanwhile, the rest of the tribe basically took the very convenient position that Sierra should be punished for having made an alliance with Brendan.
Coach missed out on another reward, this one involving the martial art-inspired dance form Capoeira. Stephen went back to Exile "Island," and confirmed that there is no new hidden immunity idol floating around camp. Yet.
The immunity challenge involved some shuffleboarding in the rain, with the twist being that individual competitors could choose to sit out the challenge in favor of gobbling down some pizza. Several survivors opted out of the challenge, including Coach, who cannot bear to be with anyone who gives less than 1000% at competitions.
Sierra almost beat the odds to win the immunity which she so desperately needed, but Debra nailed it at the last second, and Debra became the unlikely immunity idol holder.
Back at camp, Sierra's ouster seemed like a foregone conclusion, until Stephen got the bright idea to oust Tyson early, based on the fact that he was such a big physical threat that he might make a run at immunity. It looked like the idea was going nowhere, but lo and behold, when the votes were counted, Tyson was blindsided in a 5-3 vote.
That leaves Coach and Debra as the presumptive minority, but I wouldn't count on anything at this point. Everyone thinks they're safe, which means that no one is safe.
The Pool:
In the rankings below, each pool player is ordered according to their current score, but the ranking in bold shows where they were last week. So, Paul is currently in first (!), but was second last week.
You're seeing the scores in this format:
Current Score (+/- Tyson Boot in First Set, +/- Tyson Boot in Second Set, +/- Tyson Boot in Third Set, + Immunity Pick Bonus)
So, the first number is your actual score, and everything that comes after shows what affected it this week. Everyone got a 300 point bonus to go along with their third set of picks.

This Week's Winners:
No one benefited from Debra's surprising immunity win, but Tyson's ouster definitely hurt a lot of people. The winners were myself, and Mike, each of whom pegged Tyson to go out around now in all three sets of picks. Carl also did very well.
This Week's Losers:
Paul, Brian, Kim and Mom all lost major points and thereby slipped in the rankings. In general, all four pool players put Tyson to do very well, and so his blindside threw their prediction sets into array.
Please send me your Immunity Pick (IP) by choosing from the 7 remaining players.
Good luck, everyone!
