Amazing Race Week 5:

So I got really behind on recapping the Amazing Race, mostly because Kim and I are having a hard time finding the time slot during which we can watch it on the computer together (we don't get it on tv). Anyway, this is a pool update from LAST week, as we have not yet watched the most recent episode.

The episode, as you may remember, took place in Siberia, and had tasks including driving an enormous snow plow, driving Russian brides to their respective grooms, and running naked through the cold, cold streets. I won't go into the details, since it's so far in the past. But here are the numbers:

Finishing Order

1st: Margie and Luke (+3 = most improved)
2nd: Tammy and Victor (+1)
3rd: Jaime and Cara (+2)
4th: Mel and Mike (+2)
5th: Mark and Michael (-2)
6th: Kisha and Jen (-4)
7th: Christie and Jodi (-6 = biggest slide, and biggest slide possible = non-eliminated )

The Standings

No one picked the leg-winning Margie and Luke to come in first, so 10 FT points went to everyone who predicted that Tammy and Victor were going to win.

1st: Kim 986 (-40 +10)
2nd: Dawn 947 (-60 +10)
3rd: Carl: 914 (+50 +10)
4th: Paul 880 (-40 +10)
5th: Experts 870 (+50 +0)
6th: Matt 810 (-10 +0)
7th: Mom 796 (-10 +0)

Not a lot of change in the standings for this episode. Kim held onto her lead, Mom and I stayed in last place (despite losing only 10 points). Carl had a great week, gaining 60 points, but only moved up one rank in the standings.

Good luck, everyone!
