Amazing Race Season 14 Predictions

It's time for some amazing racing!

As a whole, this looks like the weakest field of Amazing Racers I can remember, at least on paper. Usually, at least half the teams are very young and very fit. This season, that only describes a few of the teams. Instead, we've got old teams, short teams, and a mother/son duo in which the son can't hear, read lips, or speak. I'm interested to see whether that means that the producers are going to try to come up with a race design that de-emphasizes the foot speed and rewards cool-headed craftiness instead.

We wound up with six people in this season's pool. Here are our pool participants, along with their previous records:

There will also be an "expert" set of picks.

The Expert pick in this pool is determined entirely by age-- oldest team out first, youngest team winning. We'll see how that stacks up against our more nuanced decisions. Mom didn't get her picks in on time, but she still wanted to play, so I gave her a randomly assigned set of picks (alphabetical by first name of the first team member listed).
