Survivor Picks

Here are everyone's first set of picks for the season.

Sorry about the formatting; I can't seem to figure out how to make a tab in this blog, so I couldn't list everyone side by side.

I'll list the complete scoring rules and results later on. Since we can't do First Place Finisher picks each week, instead I'm awarding 12 bonus points based on successfully answering a question each week. For the first week at least, the question is: Which team will win the immunity challenge?, I have everyone's answer based on who they have going out first.

It was really fun for me to look at everyone's picks and notice the similarities and differences. Some points of interest, which will impact the pool as time goes on:

-- My bottom eight picks include Carl's bottom six picks

-- Paul's bottom two are Alexis and Amanda. Almost everyone else has both of them in their final four

-- I have Erik finishing second; everyone else has him for either 7th or 9th

-- Alexis is the fan who inspired the most faith (in everyone except Paul); four people have her in the top five

-- Kathleen is the fan who inspired the least faith; three people have her picked as first to go

-- Parvati is the returning contestant who inspired the least faith; everyone except Kim has her picked to go out in the bottom five (Kim has her finishing third)

-- Amanda is the returning contestant who inspired the most faith; she's in the final four of three people

-- Paul and Carl both picked Jason to finish in the top two; Kim and I both picked Ami to win

Paul says that his picks are almost random. Kim chose her picks by trying to figure out the most likely scenario. Carl and I both made our picks by putting the people in order of how strong a player we thought they were. And I'm venturing a guess that Dawn put most of her favorites doing well, and her least favorites doing poorly. Some very different strategies...Good luck everyone!
